High Chair & Porta Cot

We recently bought a portable cot from ebay for $49 and picked up a bassinet for $50 from retail. This is where Kimmy naps downstairs in the day, like a day bed or play pen. It would have cost us so much more if we bought the entire package new.

Kimmy turns 5 months tomorrow and to celebrate this tiny milestone, we bought a stylish Peg Perego Prima Pappa High Chair from ebay for $120! You must be wondering why we are splurging on this high chair. It's a marriage saver, a term coined by someone in San Francisco, adopted by a few in Sydney.

Kimmy loves this new high chair, it looks executive. She can now sit there and watch po po or mummy cook in the kitchen, with toys entertaining her, as well as being around us at the dining table. In this picture, we left the tray at the bottom. She's really happy about this new thing.

In our opinion and that's after extensive research, this is a good buy considering the RRP is $330 when new. We negotiated the price with the ebay seller and he was happy to make the deal, $10 less than what he wanted. He got the chair off to a nice family and we got what we wanted with a bit of discount, we're all happy. I wouldn't say it's a win-win situation because there's a school of thought that there's no such thing as a win-win...oh sorry for the babble.
